As part of the TAPTOE consortium, Lisa has conducted research into the current education that patients receive about opioids and the factors that contribute to the development and prevention of opioid dependence. The results have been used, among other things, to develop interventions to promote the appropriate use of opioids. These interventions are currently being implemented and evaluated by another PhD candidate.The research is the result of a collaboration between the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology of the Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) of Utrecht University and Radboud University Nijmegen and SIR institute for Pharmacy Practice and Policy.
